The couple/family members define the goals- whether it’s to learn new communications skills, reunite, prep to merge, prep to marry, or it’s working on a way to buffer emotions during a separation- it’s important for couples and family members to be aware that the outcome will be based on the amount of work each participant engages during the therapy process.
You may be asked to complete supplemental assignments, attend an independent support group, or research more specialized services if the need exist.
The couple and/or family members will be asked to engage both in individual and co-joint sessions to explore their dynamic as a couple and/or any individual specific concerns that may be impacting the relationship as a whole.
Unique to COUPLES: at least 1 week prior to the scheduled appointment date, your partner and you will be forwarded a link to engage a 400+ question questionnaire that gauges different aspects of your relationship. One of you will receive the link requiring the payment of $29. The cost is included if self-paying. If using insurance, the administrative fee is expected to be paid by the one of the parties representing the couple/unit. The questionnaires must be completed 24 hours prior to the first session (Intake), to allow such to be incorporated.
After arriving at the office DAY 1, you will each be asked to enter the office independently to state your individual interpretation of the unit's concerns, along with your overall goal for the interaction. Next, you will be brought into the office to experience the remainder of the intake jointly.

We do understand, and fully respect, your need to reschedule your appointment as life happens. However, it is our policy that you provide us with 24 hours advance notice to better allow us to accommodate another client's appointment request with the newly vacant appointment slot. You will otherwise be invoiced for a $50 cancellation fee which must be paid prior to receiving another schedule slot. Keep in mind that you will be solely responsible for the cancellation fee as insurance companies will not co-share in such payment type.
